Proven leadership. Visible results. A legacy of service to the Urhobo nation and the people of Delta Central.
From the classrooms of Lagos and Rugby to the halls of the Nigerian Senate — a life dedicated to public service.
Born 10 April 1962 in Lagos, Senator Dafinone is a UK-trained economist and chartered accountant who has dedicated his life to service — first in the financial sector, and now in the Senate.
He is the son of the late Chief (Senator) David Omueya Dafinone, who served in the Senate during the Second Republic. The Dafinone family holds a Guinness World Record for the most chartered accountants in one family (ICAEW, UK).
In less than three years, Senator Dafinone has built an exceptional record of stewardship — in the chamber and in the community.
Empowering communities through education, skills development, and economic opportunity — long before entering the Senate.
The Foundation provides scholarships of all categories to Deltans — supporting students from primary school to postgraduate education. Deserving students receive financial assistance to pursue academic aspirations and unlock their potential.
Extending support to women and youths in micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) through micro-credit loans. These loans empower individuals to establish or expand businesses, fostering entrepreneurship and economic growth.
Operating a dedicated training centre that equips women and youths with vital livelihood skills — tailoring, hairdressing, adult education, welding, computer education, and catering. Over 5,000 individuals trained since inception in 2007.
Through Sapele Integrated Industries Ltd, the Foundation employs over 700 individuals across Delta State. The company specialises in rubber and allied products exports, providing stable employment and contributing to the local economy.
Support the re-election of Senator Ede Dafinone. Together, we will continue the transformation of Delta Central.
